Jewish SF

An article on Jewish Science Fiction. A lot of Jewish authors but, with a few exceptions, little Jewish content in their work. The article focuses on science fiction with Jewish characters or political situations, but what about speculative fiction works saturated with Jewish ideas, say Star Trek? (And not just Spock's duchening-live-long-and-prosper gesture. ) Or the works of Guy Gavriel Kay? Jews in Space sounds a bit too much like a Muppets sketch, but a work on the future landscape of Israel would definitely be interesting. As with most speculative fiction, it will speak about our anxieties in the present, projected into the future.

2004 50 Book Challenge

Amazon only allows 25 books per list. Here are list 1 and list 2. I still have 42 days to reach the 50 book mark, which shouldn't be a problem. These lists are for full books only, read for pleasure. Research, magazines, plays, etc. are excluded.
